Stefano Simontacchi

Stefano Simontacchi is the managing partner of BonelliErede, where he gained a vast experience in both domestic and international real estate transactions and in structuring real estate collective investment vehicles.

He obtained hisPh.D. at the Faculty of Law of Leiden University, the Netherlands where, since 2000, he has been lecturing in international taxation for the Adv. LL.M. organized by the International Tax Center Leiden. In addition, he has lectured in taxation and international taxation for many years at several other universities and master programmes. In 2011, Stefano has been appointed Director of the Transfer Pricing Research Center Leiden, founded by Leiden University (the first international research centre specifically focused on transfer pricing). In 2013, as Director of the Transfer Pricing Research Center Leiden, Stefano has launched an Adv. Course on Transfer Pricing and a Summer Course on the same topic. In 2015, Stefano has become independent member, as representative of the International Tax Center Leiden, of the EU Joint Transfer Pricing Forum. Stefano is the director of the first full year Adv. LL.M. in Transfer Pricing of the International Tax Center Leiden University of Leiden with the Erasmus University Rotterdam that will start in 2019. Stefano Simontacchi is also the author of several publications and articles. His book Taxation of Capital Gains under the OECD Model Convention: With Special Regard to Immovable Property was published in 2007 by Kluwer Law International.
