Uwe Stoschek

Uwe Stoschek joined PwC in 1994. He has a degree in Law from the Free University of Berlin and is both Attorney-at-Law (Rechtsanwalt) and a Certified Tax Consultant (Steuerberater). He has been a Tax Partner with PwC since 2000. Uwe is PwC' Global, Real Estate Tax Leader and for 5 years held the position of Real Estate Industry Leader EMEA. He is a member of the EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) Tax Board which plays an important role in the European REIT market. He has also been a member of the tax committee of INREV, the European organization for non-listed funds for many years. Furthermore, Uwe supports German industry associations such as ZIA. He was also a member of the Consultative Working Group (CWG) of the European Securities and Markets Authority's (ESMA) Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC) from 2013 to 2017.

Uwe specializes in national and international investment funds' tax issues as well as real estate for German and non-German open-end and closed-end funds, institutional and private, German and foreign investors. He has advised many international opportunity funds in designing, establishing and implementing their German investments.

Moreover, Uwe has special expertise in advising German and foreign REITs. He is also a frequent speaker on issues related to the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).
