Wang Ze
Dr. Wang Ze, Doctor of Law, is the Director of Beijing Justra Intellectual Property Center. He joined the Chinese Trademark Office under the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in 1997 and has been involved in reviewing and deciing trademark opposition cases. Dr. Wang subsequently held the following positions in China: Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs Division of the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board, Director of the General Affairs Division of the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board, and Deputy Secretary-General of the China Trademark Association. Dr. Wang was also appointed to serve as a committee member of the Expert Consultative Committee of the Beijing High People's Court and the managing director of the Association of the Copyright Society of China.
Dr. Wang has been chosen to serve as one of the national intellectual property experts in China by the State Intellectual Property Office. He was also a member of the drafting committee that was involved in the legislation of the third amendment to the Chinese Trademark Law. Dr. Wang has published monographs The Modernization of China's Trademark Law: Theory, Institution and Practice, and more than fifty articles in professional journals, such as What Are the Differences Between Trademark Cancellation and Invalidation, Civil Reliefs and Limitations Available to Owners of Unregistered Trademarks in China, Trademark Infringement Discussion and Fair Use Defense, and Analysis on Trademark Concepts from the Perspective of a Mark and a Symbol. Dr. Wang has also co-authored and published Understanding and the Appropriate Application of the Trademark Law.
