Das zieht die Notwendigkeit größerer Flexibilität in betrieblicher, fachlicher und persönlicher Hinsicht an Organisationen, Einrichtungen, Unternehmen nach sich. Hinzu kommt, dass aufgrund des demografischen Wandels die Auswahl an jungen Arbeitnehmern, insbesondere im hochqualifizierten Bereich, tendenziell immer geringer wird. Daneben ist der Weg zur Suche in die ganze Welt offen. Dies verlangt von den Unternehmen neue Strategien (Denk- und Vorgehensweisen), um bei Bedarf neue Arbeitnehmer für sich gewinnen zu können. Hier müssen die Unternehmen aktiv vorgehen, z. B. mit Personalmarketing und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Sie müssen präsent sein, nach Möglichkeit einen positiven Wiedererkennungswert haben, unverwechselbar und vor allem attraktiv für potentielle Arbeitnehmer sein. In diesem Zusammenhang gilt es, neben der Bindung guter und wertvoller Mitarbeiter und der Mitarbeitergewinnung aus den eigenen Reihen, die Möglichkeiten einer effizienten und effektiven Mitarbeitergewinnung möglichst breit zu nutzen, um die für die Stelle und das Unternehmen passenden Mitarbeiter zu finden. Das Internet scheint dafür immer mehr ein geeignetes Medium zu sein, indem es neue und schnellere Kommunikationswege bietet, über die auch Personal gewonnen werden kann.
