Onboarding ist ein relativ junger Begriff, welcher auf eine planvolle Einführung neuer Mitarbeiter in das Unternehmen abzielt. Im deutschsprachigen Raum wird auch von Mitarbeiterintegration gesprochen. Insbesondere in den USA scheint diese Thematik höchste Aufmerksamkeit zu erfahren. Onboarding - wozu? Das Beschaffen und Rekrutieren neuer Mitarbeiter erfährt zunehmend hohe Aufmerksamkeit. Grund dafür ist vor allem die demographische Entwicklung. Geburtenschwache Jahrgänge sind zu erwarten, weshalb sich zukünftig die Suche nach "gutem" Personal zu einer Suche mit "Ellbogentechnik" gestalten wird - der "war of talents" ist eröffnet und hat internationales Ausmaß und Bewusstsein bei den Arbeitgebern erreicht. Daher wird jetzt schon vermehrt in den Prozess der Personalbeschaffung investiert. Häufiges Manko dabei ist, dass dieser abrupt endet, sobald der neue Mitarbeiter das Unternehmen betreten hat - das Resultat: pure Wertverschwendung. Auch die fehlende Wertschätzung bei Eintritt in das Unternehmen demotiviert den Mitarbeiter. Ziel dieser Studie ist es, aus Sicht der Mitarbeiter zu beleuchten, welche Merkmale ein systematischer Integrationsprozess aufweisen soll. Diese Studie beantwortet daher die Frage: "welche Erwartungen stellen Mitarbeiter an einen systematischen Integrationsprozess, sodass sie dem Unternehmen langfristig bei hoher Leistungsentfaltung und Zufriedenheit erhalten bleiben?". Dabei fokussiert sich die Untersuchung auf die Erwartungen. Zur Beantwortung der Forschungsfrage führt die Autorin Literaturrecherchen durch und befragt MitarbeiterInnen, welche in unterschiedlichen Unternehmen im Industriesektor tätig sind. Basierend auf diesen Ergebnissen leitet sie Handlungsempfehlungen ab.
About the Author: Mag. (FH) Katharina Schmidt wurde 1980 in Tirol geboren. Ihr berufsbegleitendes Studium Wirtschaft & Management mit den Schwerpunkten Personal- & Change Management sowie Finance an der unternehmerischen Hochschule MCI in Innsbruck, schloss die Autorin im Jahre 2012 mit dem akademischen Grad der Magistra (FH) für wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Berufe erfolgreich ab. Der zuvor absolvierte akademisch zertifizierte Lehrgang für interne und externe Unternehmenskommunikation am MCI rundete ihr Berufsbild ab.
