Ankush Kumar BedyalAnkush Kumar Bedyal is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, Cluster University of Jammu, Jammu, India. Formerly he worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences, Central Uniersity of Jammu, Jammu, India. He also worked as Assistant Professor at Chitkara University, Punjab since, October 2019. Before that, he was Post Doctorate fellow at the Department of Physics, University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa for 3 years and 4 months. He did his Ph.D. in Physics from the School of Physics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Jammu & Kashmir, India in 2016. Dr. Bedyal has more than 12 years of experience in research. He has worked in the field of luminescence properties of phosphors particularly, Photoluminescence, Thermoluminescence, and Cathodoluminescence for their applications in lighting, White Light Emitting Diodes, Displays, Dosimetry and many more. He worked on the modification of luminescence, optical and structural properties of phosphors by Swift Heavy Ion irradiation. He also worked on the surface properties of the materials. Dr. Bedyal has outstanding research credentials. He has published more than 50 research papers in reputed journals and proceedings of International and National Conferences. He has presented his work at many national and international conferences in India and Abroad. He has delivered a couple of invited lectures at national conferences in India. His current focus is to synthesize the nanophosphors for light emitting diode applications, CTR phosphors, material modification using swift heavy ion irradiation and radiation dosimetry and to study the energy transfer mechanism among the activator ions in the phosphor material. Currently, he is also working on the ZnO/nanophosphor composites to enhance the UV/visible light photocatalytic activity of ZnO. Read More Read Less
