Faiz Ahmad Faiz (1911–1984) was a revolutionary Urdu poet, journalist, and author whose works blended romance with resistance, making him one of the most celebrated literary voices of South Asia. Faiz’s poetry combined romantic ghazal traditions wth revolutionary themes, making him unique among Urdu poets. He was part of the Progressive Writers’ Movement, alongside global voices like Pablo Neruda and Nazim Hikmet.
