Manuel Alonso OleaProfessor Dr Ferm�n Rodr�guez-Sa�udo (born 30 January 1938) studied Law at the University of Seville, Spain (1955-1960), where he obtained his Ph.D. in Law (1971). He has been a Labour Inspector in Madrid (1965-1968) and Seville (1968-1971) and Assisant Professor of Labour Law of the Faculties of Law of Madrid and Seville. In 1975 he obtained the Chair of Labour Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Oviedo and in 1976 the Chair of Labour Law of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Seville; since 1998 he has held, the Chair of Labour Law in the Faculty of Law of the University Pablo de Olavide of Sevilla. His writings include books on the intervention of the state in labour disputes and wages in cases of suspension of the activities of the enterprise; and more than one hundred articles and essays on labour contracts, wages, working time, dismissals, strikes and lock-outs, trade union representatives, collective bargaining, representation of employees in the enterprise, settlement of industrial disputes, labour administration, social security, employment, fundamental rights in the individual labour relation, etc. Among his general books, he is co-author of Derecho de Trabajo (Labour Law, 22th edition, 2013).
